SPECIAL FOCUSES

fyclogo fyglogo fyslogo

Every issue of ED Club Bulletin contains three Special Focuses where we do an in-depth analysis of specific industry topics, trends and market segments.  While the three focuses—For Your Club (FYC), For Your Staff (FYS) and For Your Guest (FYG)—address different areas of interest and responsibility for a club operator, what they do have in common is that they are designed to give club owners, club general managers, and other club personnel the information they need to increase revenues, decrease expenses, find and retain excellent staff, and keep old customers while bringing in new ones.

Our FYC, FYS and FYG Special Focuses go beyond just passing along how-to tips.  We also tell our readers which companies and industry professionals are the best ones to contact for products and services within a given Special Focuses area.  We do the work for our readers and point them in the direction we know will yield the best results for them.

TO CLUB OPERATORS: As the lyrics to a current popular song go, “We do it all for you,” so please give us your feedback.  If you liked, or disliked a Special Focus, or if you have suggestions on Special Focuses we should do in the future, please email your comments to our Editor Dave Manack at dave@EDpublications.com, or call him at (727) 726-3592.

TO INDUSTRY VENDORS: We will only be doing a Special Focus on a specific industry topic or market segment once every two years, so if we are targeting an area that you work in, we encourage you to get involved now in that Special Focus.  Don’t miss this opportunity where we are focusing the eyes of the entire industry on what you do.  Contact Gary Daugherty or Lacy Empkey in our Marketing Department at gary@EDpublications.com and lacy@Edpublications.com, or by calling (727) 726-3592.

*Although the entertainers at many adult nightclubs are treated and classified as independent contractors, for editorial purposes, we will include entertainers in the "staff" category of our Special Focuses.

For Your Club Focus–Text message/email marketing
”Rock Their In Box”
fyclogo1Adult nightclubs are always looking for new ways to market and promote themselves.  And in this economy, it helps if these marketing strategies are affordable.  Our For Your Club (FYC) Focus in the March 2010 issue of Club Bulletin will highlight text messaging and email marketing services, two of the most modern—and most affordable—techniques for club marketing.  We’ll also let club operators know which companies are the ones to turn to when exploring this avenue for club promotions.

For Your Guest Focus–Chairs and couches, all furnishings
“If Their Butts Could Talk ...”
fyglogo1If your guests’ and entertainers’ butts could talk, what would they say about your club’s chairs, couches and other furniture?  Would they crack a big smile with a happy tale to tell, or would they offer nothing but disgruntled complaints?  Our For Your Guest (FYG) Focus in the March 2010 issue of Club Bulletin will highlight the most comfortable, most durable, most versatile—and newest—lines of chairs, couches and other furniture avaliable for adult nightclubs.

For Your Staff Focus–Life and medical insurance for employees
“Slippery When Wet”
fyslogo1When it comes to protecting your investment, your insurance doesn’t just apply to your club—it should apply to your staff as well.  Our For Your Staff (FYS) Focus in the March 2010 issue of Club Bulletin will discuss the different types of insurance available to your staff, and which companies provide this vital service to the adult nightclub industry.

For Your Club (FYC) FOCUS ON SPECIALTY LIGHTING, EFFECTS & SIGNAGE
”Its Not Just About Your Stage”
fyclogo1As important as your club’s stage lighting is, it certainly isn’t the only lighting that’s featured prominently in your club.  If it accentuates your building’s facade, creates an ambiance for your bar or VIP area or guides customers
and entertainers throughout your venue, it will be covered in our For Your Club (FYC) FOCUS ON SPECIALTY LIGHTING, EFFECTS & SIGNAGE  in the May 2010 issue of Club Bulletin. This Focus will highlight the products and companies you should turn to when looking to purchase or upgrade these products for your adult nightclub.

For Your Guest (FYG) FOCUS ON UPTIME GIVEAWAYS
“Uptime Items & Promos That Don't Suck”
fyglogo1When your club runs a two-for-one dance or “uptime” promotion, the idea is that the guest actually wants that promotional item that your dancers are selling. But if your guests are more likely to leave that uptime giveaway on the floor of your club—or even worse, in the trash on the way out—then maybe it’s time you upgrade your uptime items. Our For Your Guest (FYG) FOCUS ON UPTIME GIVEAWAYS in the May 2010 issue of Club Bulletin will highlight the newest and most popular uptime giveaways, and which companies to rely on for great promotional items.

For Your Staff (FYS) FOCUS ON SECURITY PRODUCTS
“The Best Defense”
fyslogo1Security products—including surveillance cameras, radios, metal detectors and more—will help keep your customers and staff safe and prevent theft. Our For Your Staff (FYS) Focus on SECURITY PRODUCTS in the May 2010 issue of Club Bulletin will highlight the newest and most effective security products and services available for floormen, doormen and other security personnel within the adult nightclub industry.

For Your Club (FYC) FOCUS ON CLUB SOUND, SPEAKERS AND DJ SYSTEMS
”Play That Funky Music”
fyclogo1Sure, customers are coming to your clubs to see the hot girls and drink the delicious beverages.  But who’s the one responsible for the “vibe” of your club?  It’s the DJ—and there are some important tools in his
audio arsenal.  Our For Your Club (FYC) Focus on club sound, speakers and DJ systems in the July 2010 issue of Club Bulletin will highlight all of the areas that are vital to the audio experience in your adult nightclub.

For Your Guest (FYG) FOCUS ON BOOKING AGENCIES
“Call My Agent”
fyglogo1Over the past couple of years, the adult nightclub industry has seen a resurgence in the popularity—and quality—of feature entertainers. But if you’ve never booked a feature entertainer before, how do you know where to start?  Our For Your Guest (FYG) FOCUS ON BOOKING AGENCIES  (because feature entertainers are “for your guest,” after all) in the July 2010 issue of Club Bulletin will highlight the top feature entertainment booking agencies, and will help club owners in deciding which type of feature entertainer is right for their club and their club’s clientele.

For Your Staff (FYS) FOCUS ON DRESSING ROOMS
“Do You Have A Locker Room or Dressing Room”
fyslogo1Imagine if your adult nightclub held an “open house,” and you invited potential entertainers into your club’s dressing room.  Would they be impressed, or mortified? Does your dressing room resemble a high school locker room or an upscale dressing area?  Our For Your Staff (FYS) Focus on DRESSING ROOMS in the July 2010 issue of Club Bulletin will highlight the companies that provide lockers and other dressing room accessories, and will tell readers how they can transform their “locker room” into a “dressing room.”
